The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is where my path started and where it continues: a Bachelor's in Mechanical Vehicle Engineering and, after the Master's at MUNER, a PhD at MeltIngLab in the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari”.

What I did

  1. 01

BSc in Mechanical Vehicle Engineering: materials, machine-component design, CAD, vibration, manufacturing and fluid dynamics.

  2. 02

The turning point: electrotechnics and the electrical machines and drives courses, which set my direction.

  3. 03

Final BSc year in the first season of the university's electric Formula Student team, MoRe Modena Racing.

  4. 04

PhD since November 2024 at MeltIngLab: design and control of electric drives, simulation and data, reliability (bearing currents and thermal effects).

  5. 05

Doctoral training with the ICT doctoral courses and the EMERGE summer school; a poster on bearing currents in PMSM at Coiltech 2025.

Context

My PhD research centres on electric drive systems: design and control procedures that extract the best performance from the system, and simulation environments refined until they behave as closely as possible to reality.
